Ed Weising, Editor of the Vintage Traveler, has always had a passion for history and travel. An avid traveler, he has toured over 20 countries and most of the major cities in the United States. Ed lives with his wife, Deborah, in Thornton, Colorado.

Mark Weising, Associate Editor of the Vintage Traveler, is an editor at a publishing company  located in southern California, where he lives with his family.

The word "vintage" in our name has two meanings that apply to our publications: (1) "of high quality," and (2) "of a past season of time," which is, for our purposes, 70 or more years ago in our nation's history.

Our mission is to provide resources to:

  • Expand people's knowledge of events, places and individuals in our nation's past;
  • Explore places of historic importance;
  • Examine the words and ideas of historic figures; and
  • Evaluate the triumphs and failures of America's past.

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page."
